Can female bettas live together?

yes you can. you just have to remember a couple of things…
1. try to see if they keep the female bettas at your pet shop already together because this will reduce the chances of fighting.
2. always have an odd number of bettas together
3. if theres any sign of fighting seperate them
4. there will always be a alpha male or alpha female wtv if there will be any fighting it she would be the one responsible for it.

Yes and no. You cant keep only 2 females together as they would prolly kill each other. You can establish a betta soriety but this requires at least 5 females minimum and the more the better as long as your tank is big enough.

Females will develop a pecking order and the more females, the more the aggression gets spread out so that no one betta will get singled out and bullied to death.

You’d need at least a 10 gallon tank, prefferably 20 as you’ll need to provide lots of plants and hideouts for females to escape to and build their own individual territories in. Females that have been raised together are your best candidates for a soreity as females who’ve been kept on their own for a while may never adjust to a community setting.

Yes, but it can be touch and go. A betta female tank is called a sorority. The minimum number of females you must have to have a remotely healthy sorority tank is six.

Below is a link explaining it all.

Contrary to popular myth, female bettas are still aggressive. Just less so than the males. Aggression has been bred into domesticated bettas, as wild specimens are not aggressive. You need a larger number of females in order to diffuse aggression. Basically, if you have only two, one will get picked on. Only three, two will pick on the weakest. Four is getting better, five is OK, and six is much a better number.
